I have read quite a few recomendations for copper wire but haven't seen many for using stainless.  I was thinking about trying stainless but wanted to know if there is a reason it won't work as well as copper.

I'm not real sure.  I've never tried stainless.  Is it as soft?

I dont think I've ever seen fine stainless for sale.

I've used stainless steel to secure skirts on jigs for over 200 jigs and no problem.

I made a couple last night and i used the skirt collar with rattle clips then I wrapped the stainless under it.  It worked really well.
