Catch fish?? :). I would imagine if you could catch them on texas rigs, shakeyheads and such, you could do all right.

I have a similar situation ... I used the Coppertruse and got some decent bites.  That has a chartreuse bottom which I think helps.  FWIW I also add megastrike.

I use jig heads with a weed guard so when it's muddy I can work cover. Works very well, just very down sized pitching

It should work great, but don't expect to only catch the small ones

I use the Ned Rig in any color of water that I would throw a worm. Green Pumpkin in clear/slightly stained and Junebug in the rest.

I use the ned rig a ton on small murky ponds. Almost always use junebug or black and blue flake. I use a variety of z-man baits to. Not just the TRDs.

Not murky water related, but I have fished the Finesse TRD at night with lots of success.  I was pretty shocked that something so subtle could still get bit with in no-light conditions

I've used these before when the water is really murky and.or nasty. Doesn't have to be a TRD or even a Z man to make a successful ned rig. Keep in mind these lack the buoyancy of the TRD but the action they provide underwater is amazing:

Interesting - who makes that?
