rod repair

Featured Replies

I'm sure this has been covered already but I couldn't find with a search.  I snapped the top foot of a ML spinning rod off this weekend and need to repair it.  Can anyone recommend a good repair kit to put it back together?

Don't know what your experience level is, cause it isn't easy... :D

There is no kit I know of...

Just an old article from rodbuilding.org library By Ralph O'Quinn...

To do it right, is one of the most difficult repairs there is. And in 99.9% of the cases the finished product is NOT the same action or feel.

So unless it's a real expensive rod or something with a bunch of sentimental value, either replace it or just glue a tip on the end and use it for spinnerbaits or something.

Thanks guys,  Two good/bad answers.  I guess I'll just try to get it usable again and hit the Bass Resource Flea Market and look for a replacement.
