hey. i have a bassboat with an old Johnson 85HP from early 1980s i believe. the motor runs great, starts at the turn of a key, but it wont shut down. i already replaced the ignition switch (where you insert the key), but the problem is still there. where can it be getting power?? i can even remove the key, and the engine will still be running...

 

where could i begin looking for?? it must be getting power from somewhere else but i cant figure it out...

if you are talking about the Force on the Nitro from another post, thats a boat i was planing on buying, i havent even seen it in person... the one im having trouble with is my old Johnson 85HP on my current boat...
