History Channel Show Alone

Featured Replies

I think this show is one of the best reality programs on  now. How many of you would attempt the challenge.

For me ,40 years ago ,maybe, more than likely not.

Tonites episode saw  one guy build a canoe so he could go fishing. Love it.

Here is a run down of the participants and their choice of items to take. See packing list.

If you think your tough enough, they are looking for you. Go for it.

No thanks.

My idea of camping is a Holiday Inn.

I think it'd be sweet to try, but I'm not sure how good at it I'd be.I think I could make it longer than the guy who left on the first night though!

Not a bad show. Much better than some of the crap that History puts out.

Is it a "contest?" Do they win something if they are out there for a certain period of time, or is it for bragging rights?

Its $500K for the last man out. Might be worth it to let a bear chew on your leg.

Not sure but I think they don`t let any of the contestants know how many are still in.. 4 of 10 are left now after 14 days.

Would love to do it.

Put in an application, its on the link.

Only 4 left and it's only at two weeks?

Never saw that program, I like to watch Naked and Afraid.   Would I do it, haha not a chance in the world.

Two weeks? It is day eight. Five washed out by day four and the sixth by day seven. All of them wnet out crying like little girls. I have spent months in worse conditons with no problems. I even applied for this show. The email by the way is  aloneshowcasting@gmail.com . Never got any response from the producers. Apparently they are not interested in real survivalists. Just girly Millennial manchildren. They get better ratings.

i haven't watched it other than the commercials.  I would have definitely done it before i had a wife and kids.  I used to do solo trips all the time and i once went out for a week long excursion and only took a lighter and a knife.  It was kind of fun but i did get bored after a few days.  The coolest part was making the shelter, i had a pretty cool tree house that was quite comfortable given the circumstances.

I would love to do it..Even tho I'm a city boy at heart.

I may end up crying like a little girl and call for my Mama after the first 10 min! Why not? I'd have to be 20 yrs younger tho.

HAHAHA!  I haven't been watching it.  I thought it was embarrassing at two weeks, but four days??  You are right, the more yuppies on the show crying, the more people will watch it.

I'd kill and eat the cameraman after day three.

Just finished tonites show. I like Allen. He has  a great sense of humor. I Hope he wins

22 days  still 4 left

Kind of amazing to me after them being there for over three weeks that some of their shelters are no better than some of the survivor shows when it first started.

32 days ==still 4 left

These guys have what it takes to  physically survive,  so it seems to be coming  down to a head game now.

Cold weather  could  make a difference.

Of course I know we're not watching this live but Alan seems to be winning the mind game.

Day 43

Shocker =Lucas, the creator that made the boat and the mandolin,  the one with the best shelter, tapped out.

Also Mitch tapped too.

Sam was my pick to tap next, but no.

Alan and Sam both declared  a "no quit" status.

Go Alan Go

I think around day 50 the producers will call a draw, and split the loot.

Male soap opera ! yes

I couldn't find this show till this morning... and luckily they were doing a season marathon. After that first episode, man I was hooked and couldn't stop watching! I thought Mitch, Lucas, Sam would have tapped a lot sooner than they did. I agree that Alan is winning the mind game and could go a lot farther. Sam seems to be really struggling finding food and looks like he is about finished.   Can't wait for the finale tonight!
