Two Elite Events For 2016

Featured Replies

I heard from a very reliable source that the Elites are going to fish Cayuga and the Potomac next year. I also read that there was going to be some sort of event in the Lake Placid area next year.

Any thoughts?

They said yesterday that there would be another event in Maryland. I'm assuming that would be the Potomac?

I would say so, either launch at National Harbor or Smallwood. I might have to marshal those two events.

Trip Weldon said they were coming back to MD again next year...If it's not the Bay the only other place would be the Potomac.  Hopefully the river rebounds, this year has been brutal for everyone.

Either way, I'll be out there either watching or marshaling.  It will probably be at Smallwood, National Harbor doesn't have a ramp (at least not a public one) so when the FLW was there the competitors had to launch elsewhere and drive over...I don't think they were happy with that, as this year the FLW went out of Smallwood.  Either way, I'm just glad they'll be back on the Potomac.  The area where Skeet won in 2007 has been almost written off, but so was the Middle River and we all saw what Aaron did ;). It will be cool to see the best of the best pick apart my true home waters.

Cayuga was a good event last year so it's good to see it back on the schedule.  They also said Toledo Bend is confirmed for May.

Cool, Cayuga was great last year and Toledo Bend is always great in the spring, which I'm sure will be when they go.

There's a link on BF that says they'll be going to Toledo Bend in May.  I don't think I can link it here, but it's easy to find if you go to the site.  May 12-15...Could be 100+ lbs. for the winning weight :).

They are going to Toledo Bend. They are also supposedly going to Wheeler or Decatur, Alabama.
