Dobyns Jig Rod

Featured Replies

Hey guys, this is my first post sorry if I mess it up but anyways I'm starting to go full out dobyns and I recently ordered a dobyns champion 735c. Has anyone had experience with this Rod? I'm just kind of wondering what to expect

Usually you ask before you buy.

It's a good rod with many uses, jig/trig/frog. It's a nice pitching stick.

I personally like my champion 734 for my jigging applications. For heavy jigs, meaning 1oz or more the 735 will be up to the task.

I have had one for a couple weeks now, use it for frogs, jig/swimming jigs in heavy stuff, and punching. Absolutely love it. Have a curado 7.1:1 reel with 50lb braid.

Great start and a great jig rod in slightly heavier applications.  The rod will be very versatile for any "heavier" type application.
