I'll let others chime in on your gear, I just want to

welcome you to the forums!

sMAX/Vengeance, Winch/Winch, SX/Veritas 6'6, PMax/PMax

I think you are definitely on the right track with the rods you currently have. Jerk baits would be fine on the 6'6" Veritas so you should be good for those. I would recommend a Heavy rod, anywhere from a 7'-7'6". I prefer to throw jigs on a heavy rod, but the 7' MH would be fine if you prefer that. Even so a Heavy rod is good for frogging, flipping, and some swimbaits.

Hope this helps!

Hello and welcome to the forums! Looks like you've got your bases pretty well covered for what you throw. I would second the suggestion to add a Heavy/Fast rod to the mix especially if you like to throw frogs. There are times you can get by with a MH/F but in that thick stuff a H/F will help you out a ton and it'll be your go to as well if you ever try punching. On the other end of the spectrum, you might want to look into a ML/XF or ML/F spinning rod for some finesse techniques like the ned rig, dropshot, and small wacky worms.

Welcome to the forums.  If Casey's your last name, it's a great one...

As far as matching up your rods & reels.  Take some time, take them all (and tackle you'll throw most) down to a shoreline you can cast easily from and try each combination.  Whichever setups cast a particular bait best and feel good in your hands gives you your answers.  You might also want to keep notes on the different combinations.

I've been trying different combinations for a couple years now and am still switching things around if I think I can improve my fishing.

Best of luck.

Hey DogBone,, Sorry but Casey is the first name and I just bought a Ranger boat.  Thought the two combined would work for an id.  Love your advice since I own my own 2 acre bass heaven!  Loaded with 4-5 lbs and you can only bank fish her!

I need to take everything out for an afternoon of trial and error!

Here is what I would do.

6.4 Revo SX w/6'6" Medium Veritas 2.0: Jerkbaits and Topwater

Revo Winch and Veritas Winch: Crankbaits

ProMax and Vengeance: Contact Baits.

Silver Max and PMax: Spinnerbaits

I might swap the last two around based on preferences.
