That's a pretty broad question... Where are you located? Spinning or baitcasting? What lures are you fishing? What type of cover are you fishing? 

 

Someone in Florida fishing matted grass in stained water is going to need something totally different than a guy in Canada fishing gin clear water with a sandy bottom.

Exactlly...I don't change lines because of the seasons...spawning or weather. I use what I use based on the where's and how's, of what I'm useing.

The spawning bass don't care if you are there or using rope tied to the lure, if the lure bothers them in or near the nest site they pick it up and move it away from the nest.

If the bass is spooky, it's because they see you and not locked onto the nest site.
