Featured Replies

So my shipment came in today, i got a dobyns fury rod and a reel and some misc. i put 8lb mono backing and 50lb seguar flippin braid, i pulled on the braid with my hand and it just dug into the spool like crazy. I cant imagine how far itll dig itself in on a hook set. Help please.

Spool off the braid and when you put it back on - do so under more tension than you used the first time.

If the braid is wound on somewhat tightly, there is less chance it will dig into itself.
