So what is the verdict on Midway? I saw comments from people on here that were really happy and it sounded if others didn't have a great experience.

Midway was great to me.   I ordered twice.   I love the companies philosophy as well.  I have a few more things in a cart there right.  Trying to fight off the monkey.

Is this stuff any good?  And what have you used to compare it to? Thanks!

I ordered from them in August, it said 3 weeks delivery on my Tatula. Naturally I was very apprehensive because it’s 3 weeks! It came in exactly a week. I’ll order again.

Midway is a great company. I’ve been buying firearm stuff from them for over a decade. I didn’t even know they sold fishing gear until recently

Back to Walmart... Chk your local Walmarts. Mine has about 200 jars of Gulp, Berkley powerbait and salmon eggs discounted down to as cheap as 60 cents per jar. I got the jars of Gulp, regular $5 for $1.25... Trout and bluegill look out!!! They also have the Strike King packages with 20 or more lures if 4 types marked down from $5 to $3 and a few more misc fishing tackle.

Mustad Fishing has 30% off through October 15th. Code: THANKYOU30

Absolutely worth checking but don't get hopes too high.  They are in the final stage of clearance at this point, and many have packed up whatever wasn't wiped out and sent it to the great Walmart tackle pile.*  The good news is if you happen to find any stuff remaining, it is likely to be at truly rock bottom prices at this point in the process.

*I don't know where it goes but some stores do send it.... somewhere.  In some stores, it simply languishes in boxes or on shelves... forever.  Sometimes I believe the sale stuff actually sits around so long it eventually goes right back up to the regular price.

Plano Edge Jig boxes are $21.60 at Amazon.

The Abu Garcia website has some decent discounts on their reels.

Yeah and the 3700 are 19.99, have been like this for awhile, shocking since all the stores are still around $30 for the Jig box.

This is from Plano direct too

North Fork Composites

FLASH SALE - 65% OFF (CART FIXED) ON BLANKS, $75 X-Ray Blanks!

Says it will go on for 5 days.

Get Xrays for $75.  IMO one of the best blank made.  Highly recommend MB733, MB736, SJ736.  Very light and sensitive and a value at these prices.  Get few and build some rods over the winter.  It is a great hobby.

25% off of 2019 St Croix Triumph rods at ALF. Is that a good deal?  Any opinion on this rod?  Looking at the spinning rods 6’6” medium. Thanks.

That would be a good deal. Just wish they would update their reel seats. BTW, welcome to the forums.
