I've had several Trions and they've been fantastic reels. I found one unopened in a pawn shop for $18. But if you click the link, they only have a size 40, which I feel is a little too big. I know because I have one-it is a workhorse and will whoop a big bass with a MH/F rod. The President combo is a deal. Basically getting a combo at the retail price of the reel alone. If they had a 2 pc. MH 7' I might grab one for a travel rod.

I don't think they are selling well, even with good reviews. Too many choices.

@KP Duty I like my 75 bottom contact but wouldn't buy it again at full retail. $250 is much more reasonable.

I picked up the 6'10" ML/XF last year when the price had already went from $329 to $399, but the shop had it for 30% off of the $329 price on the tag. I got it for right at $250 out the door, and it is definitely a very good solid rod for that price. At $399, I agree that there are a lot of good options to check out.

Yean no worries, so many scammers out there these days and they make the domain look like its legit but when looking closer the dash in the name is a giveaway. There are also many url checkers that you can use, the other giveway is how long the domain name has been registered, in this case it was like May 28...

I wish it had been legit, I would have bought quite a few frittsides at those prices.

I wanted to post this since I poked around a little and man there are lots of berkley scam sites and probably many others for the big name brands. Here is a decent url validation site, you put the website in the engine and it will give you a rating, when in doubt about the site I would recommend using it. Nothing is 100% but it's something to use and make sure a site is legit - https://www.scam-detector.com/

Sierra has Fenwick elite bass 7'-8" H for $60 and free shipping for first time user. I've got one coming for a new frog.rod, I've got a ton of the other elite rods and have been pretty happy with them. It's listed as a fly rod in the description but all the specs and pics are for the casting rod so I guess we will see what shows up

It will be interesting to see what shows up. I could only find a 7 8 MH cranking rod when I searched online and there is currently no 7 8 listed on the fenwick website. Regardless, it's a heck of a price for a rod with titanium guides!
