Well tis the season for upgrades. And I'm upgrading my line. Now I've been looking at different lines but am unsure about it I see some that colored but not real sure about the color like red for an example. I have FLS bass so I have to have strong fishing line. I was looking at sterns extreme fighting power big game line. Only downside is its bright green. Are any of these visible to fish very clearly? As you and I both know big boys don't get big by being stupid. Anyway my overall question is what line would you prefer?

I use 100% floro in that situation but it's a little harder to handle, and expensive.  If I were you I would use Trilene  big game.  Tough line, easy to use, and cheap.  I would use clear.

If you are worried about fish seeing the line you could tie a fluorocarbon leader on to line you choose. 

Lanier, I use braid for my mainline and tie
on a leader of various pound test and material
as needed, depending on the situation.

For one, braid is quite easy to maintain, and 
with that ease, you can choose from a variety
of fluorocarbon, copoly, mono filament lines
to fish from in any length you feel comfortable
with. There's no set rule.

You just want your leader knot to be tied well,
and with plenty of lubrication. I use the Uni x2
and the Mod'd Albright. But there are others.

Point being, braid gives you manageability 
while the leader gives you whatever else you
are confident with, be it stealth, or abrasion
resistance, etc. You can tie a new leader on
whenever you need to!

I will second the braid to whatever non braided line you wish to use. the versatility you have is unmatched even my cranking setups have braid mainlines with a mono leader braid always seems to cast better for me and being able to cast a good ways is huge in clear water.

You have FLS bass ? I dont know that term . 

I'm guessing Florida Largemouth Strain?  Either way colored line shouldn't make a difference unless it's really clear water.  If you're going to be using the combo you're looking to put the line on for power/reaction fishing, line color will most definitely not make a difference.

green or clear Big Game, Stren high impact is as good as Big Game. i like both of them.

I've been really looking into braided line recently. I've just haven't made the decision yet. Plenty of my friends have that braid setup and all love I have to say so too, it's just I'm not great at tying my knots so I don't want my knot slipping of I do a braided/fluro setup.

We all started there when learning to tie 
leaders. I practiced and practiced until 
I can now do so (almost) with my eyes
closed. And I can tell you my aging eyes
have some trouble seeing small hook eyes
up close. 

That said, start with the most basic (IMO) 
of leader knots, the Uni-to-Uni. There are
tons of tutorials and animated examples
out there.

From there, you can learn to tie others. But
I'd start with that one. Practice it a bunch of
times on lengths of braid and mono you have
laying around. When you are ready, cinch each
knot well and with plenty of saliva, then slowly
draw them together (I wet the line to lubricate
it as I draw them. Then give a good steady pull
to test the knot before you cut the tag ends.
