How would you fish it?

Recommended Posts

A toad for sure. I'm guessing you could pitch a weightless stick worm around the thicker mats.

Probably a jig.  Either swim it across the open areas or let it sit on top of the submerged vegetation and hop it.

I use a frog 80% of the time there and get hit a lot I just wanted to miX up the presentation and offer the bigger fish something they don't always come up for the frog or are shallow enough for the frog..

I just started to look into jigs..  not too sure how to dress them up yet so still trying to figure all that out, was at BPS  this weekend was gonna ask for help but finding a sales guy was redicoulious so I just picked up some soft plastics I thought would work..  I didn't see any skirts though, must have just missed them..

I also throw a spinner with a double tail grub trailer and that has gotten some small guys (less then a pound)

T-rig a senco has also worked for me for the 1-2 pounderstand. .

TW not so good the odd few on my walking frog or popping frog..

The water is filled with weeds under the surface which can't bee seen, so options are limited (I think)

This was one of the bigger guys from.  Yesterday it's more of a numbers pond then a pig farm lol

Depending on weed depth below surface you could throw a Wakebait.  Those bass sitting down in the weeds will come up and smash it when it is passing just over the tops of the weeds.

Ran this type of pattern the last two weeks and dos very well.
