I am planning on building a wooden jon boat and was wondering if anyone has had any experience in this arena. I am mostly concerned with weight distibution (batteries, gas tank, etc.)[/size]

Never done it but I sure would appreciate you posting pics as you go through the stages!

I'm a bit of a jon boat freak.  That sounds like a project I would love to follow!

Oh yes. You will get SICK of seeing pics of my progression. Also, I just found out that all of the things that I need (lights, seats, etc.) are 1/2 price at Walley World.
