Carl Harwell 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2016 Wassup guys I'm New to this site so please bear with me,, I just purchase 175pt pro series edition bass boat with a micro power pole,, but it doesn't hold the boat in place I was told that the boat may be to heavy for the pole any help or suggestions Will be greatly appreciated
J Francho 14,294 Report post Posted September 6, 2016 Approximate hull weight is 1009 lbs. Add the outboard weight, passengers, tackle, live-well water, and gasoline, and I bet you're over the 1500 lb. capacity of the micro pole.
Jamie Lampert 1 Report post Posted September 6, 2016 you are absolutely over weight for that power pole. Between boat, motor, and person in the boat you are probably already at 1500 pounds. With a full gas tank and a full livewell you are definitely over weight not including tackle
Jaw1 82 Report post Posted September 6, 2016 If you are referring to a pt175 bass tracker then the pole should work. I've had one on mine for 2yrs and no problems with it holding the boat in place
Carl Harwell 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2016 ok thx guys could it be that its not calabrated right i could be in 4 feet of water and this pole goes all the way down
J Francho 14,294 Report post Posted September 8, 2016 So, an 8' pole goes all the down in 4' of water? Sounds like you're anchoring very soft silt. That won't hold anything.
