Question.... And trust me, I've looked online and have come up completely empty. It has to be somewhere... but I'm not finding it.

 

May you fish for LMB year-round in the state of Texas? I live in Minnesota and we have closed seasons. Is it the same in Texas or may you fish for them 365 days a year?

Pretty sure it is year round.  Just contact Texas wildlife services and ask them to be on safe side.

I think you can fish for any fish except paddlefish year round anywhere in the south 

Year round, i live in austin. We fish for bass all day everyday.

Year around in Virginia. Year around in Texas.

The Southern states do have that in their favor.

Although, I fish catch/release, which would be
the same in any state, I believe.

In states like Minnesota and Wisconsin that have closed seasons for bass. Targeting bass during the closed season is illegal even if you release them.

One of the few things I hate about living in Wisconsin. 

Bass fishing Michigan = Year Round.  No can keep till May 28-Dec 31 for 2016 and May 27 to Dec 31 for 2017.

Yeah... I live in Minnesota which is why I posted this topic. I intend on moving to the Lake Fork area and really was struggling to find an answer on this topic.

Good though. 365 days a year. That's what I'm talking about. Hate being limited in Minnesota.

This is correct^^^

I'm about 1 hr drive from Lake Fork there the only big difference is the slot limits on this lake. But as far as fishing if you are willing and can get there go get after them.
