Do I need knob bearings?

Featured Replies

I want to change knobs on my chronarch to some Diawa RCS style knobs , but I think the hedgehog studio website says I need knob bearings too. Don't I have bearings in the knobs already, and I can just transfer them in the new knob or do I have to buy new knob bearings?

You can't put Daiwa knobs on a stock Shimano handle. You will need to buy 2 bearings if you want to have a 4bb handle.

Ok, so I have these now quite old Abus ( like 25 years ) that have only one bearing and ..... nope, I don't think they need knob bearings, a drop of oil every now and then and they are quite smooth.
