3 of each color and type ;)

In all seriousness you can't go wrong with any of their jerkbaits. The differences correspond to the different depths they can be fished.

It is a bit confusing. The pointer SP series is probably the most popular. The 78 and 100 sp baits are among my favorites. The differences are size, weight, and dive depth being slight different. Then you have your slender pointers which are longer and narrower. Great for cold water IMO. Lastly you have your deep divers for when fish are relating deeper. There are other variations of the pointer but I would start with the 78, 100, and a slender if it were me.

I found all of the different versions of the pointer confusing to, so I started a thread a few months ago asking what the differences between them are.  Here's a link to the thread, it should be able to answer your questions. What is the difference between various lucky craft jerkbaits?

I fish mostly the Regular Pointer 100 and 78 sp, but deep runners in each size and also the Silent Pointer in the 95 are lethal in the right situations. The slender pointer has more of an erratic action, so it's also very good.

Actually, Tackle Warehouse sells 12 different 'Pointer' models,
so if you're going to buy 3 of each model, you'll probably have to break the bank  :eyebrows:

The generic models are the 'Minnow' (4-5'), 'Deep Diver' (6-8') and 'XD' (8-13'),
Here in Florida the Pointer Minnow is the most useful, but if you mostly fish reservoirs

you might prefer the Deep Diver or XD.

A guy can't have too many Lucky Craft Pointers.   My collection got jump started when I went to the casino one evening in 2003 and on a black jack table, practicing my card counting, $60 became $750 in a relatively short period of time.   Being very aware that you shouldn't spend "found" money on anything responsible, I went to the tackle store and spend the entire $750 on various sizes and colors of Lucky Craft jerk baits.   I use the 100 size most of the time.   The DD size works ok and does get deeper, however if I want to go deeper I've found that the Staysee works better for me.

Surprisingly, I still have the vast majority of those baits.  I tie good knots, especially for my braid to leader connection and so I haven't lost any due to bad knots.   I've left a couple in trees that were too tall to reach, even for my extendable pole.

My favorites are the newest ones. The Lightning pointer XR.
