Weird Jig Trailer

Recommended Posts

Seen a video the other day, a gjy was throwing a large football jig (3/4 or 1 oz) and had a 6 inch senko style worm wacky rigged as a jig trailer.  Looked awesome in the water and i can only imagine how much it slowed the rate of fall. The 1 place i fish that has the potential of a big big fish gets hit hard with jigs of all sorts so it caught my attention. Anybody tried this rig before?

I use a stick worm for a trailer fairly often, usually about 4" on a finesse jig.

It'd be cheaper to use a Zoom Finesse Worm

Although it may not be popular in the US - South of the border, a 7 inch senko riding on the back of a jig is common practice.

This fish ate a black & blue one.
