CTBassin860 1,259 Report post Posted March 27, 2017 Went out for an hour today(skunked again) and tied on the Vision.First time fishing it so I was checking out the action.I noticed that it suspended nose down.No alterations, just the way it came.Fishing it on 13# Defier Armilo.Does it normally suspend that way? I thought it might Have been the cold water temp, but none of my other jerkbait did that.

LOZSteve 31 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 Vision 110 will pause nose down. I throw them on 10lb fluorocarbon, if it bothers you too much swap the back hook for one size larger. I would probably leave it alone until you have some time under your belt fishing it and have caught a few fish with it!
JDNKC 36 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 I have never paid attention, but I have caught tons of fish with them.. they are my go to in the spring. I have a few rick clunns for fishing in MN and they fish very similar.
smalljaw67 2,191 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 If it is nose down to the point it is almost vertical the bait has a problem. I'm willing to bet the weights for the weight transfer system are getting jammed in the nose or some other issue. I say that because 110s are slow rising baits, they don't suspend, I have had the original Japan models that suspend and then the American versions that are slow float. Most jerkbaits will either sink slowly or rise slowly, so I categorize a suspending jerkbait by how fast it floats, if it takes longer than 5 to 7 seconds to float up 1' it is a slow float, if it takes longer than 7 seconds I consider it suspending and the 11 falls into the slow float category. Now changing out the light wire hooks to a heavier hook will make it suspend and it will do so in a slightly nose down position unless you only add the heavier hook to the back but why would you only change that one. Anyway, if it came right out of the package I'd either contact Megabass or the place you purchased it from because the bait is malfunctioning.

No snap.It pauses and suspends almost vertical when I reel it down, then rises slowly at the same angle.Like I said all of my others like the Cutter 110 and the Pointer 78 suspend horizontally before rising.Thats what threw me.It looked off.
