This is a foolproof method for controlling that binge buying. Go to this website and just start throwing everything and anything you have ever wanted into your cart.   http://www.tacklewareh

It's always the sales that get me.

I'm still trying to stay away from that buy one Powell Max 3d or Inferno and get a free Diesel deal. I already have 3 really good rods that aren't in my rotation that just sit yet it's still hard for me to pass that deal up lol.

I'd give that rationalization a 6/10, not even close to wifeworthy.  Better work on that ?

I walked into BPS yesterday and was in there for a mere 20 minutes.I left with ONE PACK of PB&J Rage Craws.I simply did not need anything else.

I've never been one to make impulsive decisions with money. I looked for a truck for a year and a half before I finally found the one I both wanted and could afford. Just going down to the local Chevy dealer and buying what they had would have cost me $8K more.

Differentiating want from need. That being said, I have been known to confuse those words during 20% off sales.

@Darren. Milwaukee is my favorite too from box cutters to hackzall, I have many brands of miscellaneous . Porter cable , Stanley , Bosch , Hitachi , DeWalt , kobalt and Ridgid. But my favorite is definitely Milwaukee !

Their multi tool is the most versatile tool I own and we use it everyday. You can change the blades for just about anything. Mostly plunge cuts under door jams, also drywall , or PVC pipe.

Btw . Not all Carpenters over charge ! We only charge labor and make no money on materials. Example; your labor bid would be the same whether the material was $1sq foot or 12.

You pick it we stick it !

But If you can do most your upgrades or replacements yourself then more power to ya ! Those Milwaukee tools take a beating and get it done ! Mine have paid for themselves.

This is a much bigger monkey than the bait monkey (for me )

There is no known cure for stockpiling angling tackle.

Just so you know, if your buying stops you're out of the club!    :cut:

I'm just hoping to hit the jackpot like my fishing partner. He has over 300 Xcalibur XR50's new in a box. He figures his collection is worth about  $6,000. Of course he'll never sell it.

I'm just glad they don't make fishing equipment!!

I'm in love with the M12 lineup. Got the brushless

impact, hammer drill. Multi tool, hackzall, circ saw,

and my pride and joy: 18v 10" miter saw...oh my.

I only wish they had an 18v chainsaw...

Funny how Milwaulkee got in this thread. I bought Their power tools because everyone else on job sites I worked had Dewalt. Turns out they're great tools.

I use M12 batteries to power my kayak's Lowrance fish finder. I get about a day and a half from a M12 XL battery.

As far as keeping from binge buying. Come to Massachusetts .... we don't call it TAXACHUSETTS for nothing.  That and our daughter starts college next year ?.

I powered my yak fish finder with a Makita battery.

They work great, compact.

I don't tend to binge buy fishing gear, well, not true

if you define binge as a bunch of stuff in one outing.

it is the single buy of a rod I don't really need, or a

reel I don't really need but can't pass on the price.

My wife knows of my buying issues. She says I'm a

marketer's dream.

Issues!?!?!?!  I have the lifetime subscription!

When it's my time to depart i'm having all my fishing equipment buried with me.

Let's have a contest in this forum: He who dies with the most toys wins.

Thanks God not my job to control it. It is my wife job.

I listed close to 50 new ones on eBay over the weekend.

I don't...

My wife keeps me in check. I married an accountant for a reason.

I am reasonable when it comes spending on most everything but fishing gear. I use the old, "do I want this or need this?" method of controlling my purchases. Problem with fishing is I always seem to be able to find a way to justify "needing" a new rod, reel or lure.

Charge it to your wife's credit card......proble, solved

Great mind think alike, huh? When I told my wife I wanna buy some fishing gears, she always say "do you need it or want it?" that make me think for just a bit. like right now I have cart ful of fishing stuffs on Amazon and TW, just waiting for the right moment lol.

I sell the stuff i bought i dont use and use that money to get new toys il sell later lol endless perfect cycle and the women dont get mad.
