What does "Aurora" mean in colors like a Lucky Craft jerkbait? ty

'Aurora' refers to the light show in the northern night sky ('aurora borealis')

However, the aurora borealis is dominated by reddish and greenish streamers,

yet some lures dubbed aurora do not display green and red. One that comes to mind

is the 'aurora black' Zoom Fluke, which is blueish on top, whitish on bottom,

but no green and no red

My LC baits that are Aurora color have some flash/slightly different color swirls through the sides of the bait. No idea if that's what it refers to, but it kind of looks like northern lights swirling through the sky. 

Think of it as a oil-slick style holographic foil.

This is a better description than the one I gave. It does look like an oil slick on the surface of the bait. 

So in Aurora Black, Aurora is the side "oil slick" thing and Black is the back color.

 

Regular holographic is opaque foil tape and Aurora is transparent holographic? Like these lure blanks.

 

 

This one I painted is one of the transparent holographic. So that would be considered Aurora.
