Lews MACH II 6'10" - Any Reviews?

Featured Replies

Looking to possibly pick up the 6'10" model during the holiday sales. It's labeled as a spinner bait rod MH mod fast. Want to possible use it for the listed application plus squarebill and mid to large topwater lures esp walking baits as it's under the 7' mark so it makes things easier working from a kayak. Looking for opinions if anybody happens to have experience.

Dont have that exact model but i have 3 mach iis. I really like those rods. Light and plenty sensitive with a good backbone

I have one... I have 3 baitcast setups and it's my favorite by far.. light and sturdy and casts a mile. The rod is nice and sensitive and i love the winn grips especially on the butt of the rod and on the reel!

I'm gonna get another one in a heavy set up when funds allow.

I have a Lew's Mach II mh/f 7' rod. I use it for T-rigged plastics and ocassionally jigs. I like it a lot. But mine came as a combo with the Mach II casting reel. The only way to get a Mach II speed stick is by buying the Mach II combo. You are referring to the Mach speed stick which is different because of its IM6 graphite while the Mach II speed stick is has IM8. I wanted to buy more Mach II speed sticks but they only offer the Mach speed sticks in IM6 so I strayed away from them. I heard bad things about IM6 which has prevented me from buying any IM6 rods in any brand. But I will be honest, I never fished an IM6 rod and I just took what was told with me and ran with it.
