Are the gas charged ones serviceable, or do I need a new pedestal? Pulled the seat out of the base like I always do, heard a noise and now the lever that raises/lowers the post moves with no resistance and the post no longer adjusts. 

I have never heard of anyone repairing one but it should be just seals and a valve. I replaced mine when it failed. You may want to contact the manufacturer to see if repair part kits are available.

I just purchased a new Attwood Swivl-eze power pedestal with the seat bracket and threaded pin for $91 thru Boat Store USA, The one I have now is the same one, but it's stuck in the up position. I pull up on the lever and the button works but it won't go down, even with my 200lb butt. Tried to fix it with wd40 and a rubber mallet, and the seat bracket fell off... Cheapest I could find $78 and change plus $12 and change shipping.

Pretty sure they're a one and done deal unfortunately.

Who made it and how old is it?  Depending on mfg you might get a replacement.

 

Many of them are made by Springfield Marine in Nixa, MO and come with a 5 year warranty to the first purchaser.  If it came with your Lund it should be covered.

That's enlightening. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to see who the manufacturer is. It looks like it could be Springfield, doesn't look like a Swivel Eze

I'm pretty sure Attwood owns swivel eze. The boat is not stored at my home, I will get it all figured out this weekend. Thanks again  

Update. Seat is a Swivel Eze and I was able to fix it. Turns out when I pulled the seat out of the base, the seat slid up on the post about 1/4 inch and the depressor mechanism was unable to engage the piston. 5 minute fix.

The seat base slid up a little? Mine came off all the way, and when I put it back on the bottom of the seat and the lever were pressing down on the release button... Didn't matter, I couldn't fix it either way so I had to get a new one. Glad it worked out for ya.

butt seat pedestals isn't working?  May as well just get a new boat.
