I'm looking at the mojo bass swimbait rod 1-4oz but was wondering if my curado 200i would look to small on it, if anyone has theys I'd like to hear what you think and even better a pic. And do you guys think it will be a decent swimbait reel? I have the 5 gear ratio

What line are you planning to use? Also, what baits are you going to fish?

 

I'll *never* buy a swimbait rod without a foregrip, and I don't think the mojo rod has one. YMMV.

Probably 30 pound braid. smaller 1oz bass swimbaits but the rod is mainly going to be for pike so big spinners and spoons

Should be fine then IMO.

 

(IPT takes a big hit with thicker line on small reels)

What pound do you think I should use? Would my ambassador c3 6500 be better? Then I think that would be too big! ? Lol

i also have a Daiwa lexa 400hd but that's my Muskie reel that's definetly too big

I know nothing about pikes or muskies, so forgive my ignorance.

 

As far as bass are concerned, I use anything between 12-15# line for baits upto 2 ozs (and 200 size reels work fine although I prefer 300 size especially for 15# line). Anything over 15# line, I want at least a 300 size.

Not really sure what the question has to do with the rod? The reel is going to look a little out of place on that rod, but it will work fairly well for what you're wanting to do. I prefer copolymer for swimbaits, but if you're mainly fishing pike where I assume you'll probably encounter grass at least part of the time, then braid is going to be your best bet. 

as long as the reel doesn't look super ridiculous and gets the job done I'm fine with that
