Booyah Spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

Saw someone started a thread on Booyah Frogs and wanted to get thoughts on Booyah spinnerbaits.

Heres mine: On 2 separate occasions while fishing tournaments, I had 2 Booyahs break right at the R bend causing me to loose fish. These spinnerbaits were practically new and had not been abused, bent etc.. The fish were not that big either--LOL. Won't buy another one!!

Tried Booyah spinnerbaits and wasn't too crazy about them. I still have a life time supply of old Hart spinnerbaits, to me, one of the best made. Still wish they made them.

While I have not suffered any significant issues with Booyah spinner baits - I do like War Eagle , Nichols and Sandtone more - however better spinner baits will cost upwards of 2X (like the Nichols and Santone)  versus what a Booyah spinnerbait costs .

Spend double getting a terminator titanium spinnerbaits and you'll never regret it. Arms don't bend or break. The best spinners I've ever bought. Especially if, like me, you fish in an area that has pike, pickerel, musky.

I've had a really good smallie bite on a booyah pond magic 3/16 Willow.  They do bend out easily.  I read somewhere to put a split ring over the r bend to keep it from spreading apart.  Haven't tried it yet but I can't figure out what keeps it from just sliding up the line.

Been a pretty hardcore WarEagle Guy for a long time but haven't heard much good about booyah but there jigs have been ok for me .

Never been much on their spinnerbaits. Maybe just me but alot of their skirt/jig head combos on their spinnerbaits and chatterbaits just dont look quite...right. Even some generic solid color head and skirt combos offered by others just give me more visual confidence. Im sure its mostly in my head but confidence is everything. When I look at the way most of their heads taper and get smaller as they meet the skirt you cant help but think it doesnt look right and messes with the profile a bit. Quite a few of their colors the jig head color doesnt match the skirt that well. In addition as far as mass produced spinnerbaits, strike kings "perfect skirt", or war eagles version are better to me.

Conversely their jigs offer decent components and some really nice "jig" color patterns at a very good price. The regular and baby boo jig, money jig, and my personal all time favorite the alton Jones "A" Jig (a better designed mop jig) all are  very hard to beat for what they cost.

Email pictures to them and they will make it right!

Thanks for the heads up. I've been fishing them more than normal this year due to high water and heavy stained water. Mostly because of the larger profile look. Pretty good selection at two shops I use. But can't say I'm having an issue. But I'm sure there is something that justifies the higher priced spinnerbaits.

I use them heavily in the fall and have not had a problem. I've caught a good number of 3-5 lb bass on them and my only complaint might be chipping paint after 5-10 fish.

My buddy and I have been using them for years and haven't had any problems. Most days they're what we fish, along with some big worms and chatterbaits. He sold me on them and says he won't trust one after about 50 fish, not counting the dinks.

Here's a 10.5-pounder he caught on one this spring using a 6" trailer. I weighed it on a digital scale. The spike on the hook does a good job of holding trailers, too.

My best fish on one was an even 10 pounds. We'll be out there again Friday, so maybe that'll change. :)

My friend just sent me the pic of my first largemouth over 9 pounds. I caught it on a Booyah spinnerbait with a 4" trailer.

The joy of owning a digital scale - exactly 9.25.

This was a few years ago and he's still laughing at me because I didn't know how to hold a bass that big.

Bottom of the lake-----On both occasions the fish took the hook side and gave me the spinner side which got launched---Always remember confidence is a large portion of success, Since I have "ZERO" confidence in them, i'll never buy another!!

Ahh, I had blades break off. Sent pics and got 3 back.

Haven't had a problem with mine yet
