Gents,

 

I am finding ulterra 80' s, 60 inch with I pilot for 1500.00 with a 1 yr warranty.  Does anyone have any experience with these?

They say that were refurbished by a minn kota tech??? 

 

Thoughts?

 

If ii recall, the first batch of motors released had some issues, but more importantly they had the old gps. The gps has been upgraded and spot lock actually holds you on a spot rather than within a 10ft radius as well as not overshooting waypoints and then correcting itself. My guess is the factory refurbished are units that were returned because people were dissatisfied with the product.

I'm in the same place as you, Looking at the same motor for a new boat. My thought was that I could run it solid for the first year I'd be tempted. But since we spend half of the year looking at ice and snow I decided to pass. I'll be picking up a new one, hopefully on black Friday, and know I'll get two full seasons under warranty.
