What's there to have fun about?  Between those two, PowerPro.  There's many other brands as well.  Most 4 carrier braids are over designed, and you'll be using a breaking strength that far exceeds what you need.  So, really any "50 lb. braid" will do, because you're only likely to 20% of the line's capabilities.

PP moss green matches my avocados a little better than the Spiderwire

PowerPro...

Power Pro - Super Slick 8 (Aqua Green)   ;)

Why?

The casting performance...durability...and strength.  I also really like the smooth surface that this braid offers...it does increase overall performance...IMO

PowerPro, hands down. My brother bought some of that Spidewire stealth braid and had me spool his spinning reels for him. I told him how to do it, but once I started talking about backing and line/line knots he said, "I'm bringing it over." Anyways, I spooled up three reels for him with the Spiderwire. I don't know why, but something just felt 'wrong' with it. I don't know if I'm used to PowerPro because it's what I've always used for saltwater, so I used it for freshwater too. Or there really is something different about it that makes me think it wouldn't be as effective. Anyways, long story short - PowerPro.

honestly, Berkley Trilene  braid is overlooked but it is a phenomenal braid

Power Pro hands down. Love that stuff. I've had Spider Wir,. It ended up in the trash before I finished spooling a reel with it.

I usually use Daiwa J-Braid because I get the 8 strand and it's not too terribly expensive. It freys notably less than Spiderwire, and is still cheaper. Power Pro is also reliable.

Don't even bother with Spiderwire EZ braid.

PP of those two, but KastKing Super Braid reminds me of PP and handles nicer, and it's about half the price of even original PP.

Of those two I would choose Power Pro but my choice for my money is Suffix 832

Which Spiderwire braid?   www.spiderwire.com/spiderwire-line-superline

I've been using Invisi-braid for years - since my buddy bought a jumbo, king-sized spool of 10-pound/2#diameter many years ago for 75% off. It actually breaks at 20 to 22 pounds and lasts for years on the reel. PP is fine too, but the Invisi-braid works well and it's free.

Heck, I still like Trilene XL and the old Triple Fish camo mono too. The fish don't seem to care.
