Best Frog lure

Featured Replies

I've never tried frog fishing before, and i was wondering which frogs you guys recommend. I recently purchased one at Canadian tire that was on sale for 4 bucks, like the one in the picture.Image result for panther martin frogThe brand is Panther Martin, and I thought I would test it out since their spinners are good. Anything is helpful, thanks.

My favorite is easily booyah hands down.  They are really soft so you’ll get some good hookups.

one tip is when you get a hit make sure you feel the fish on there before you set the hook because sometimes they’ll swat at it and then come back and choke it.

Get a Spro, they are the best

Booyah!!  Soft, durable, good hookups, nice color selection, and affordable.   The others like Spro, River2sea, Live Target are great as well.   I have just found I can use and catch a bunch of bass on the Booyah and it just keeps on going.   I believe your picture is a solid body frog, most of the answers you get here will be hollow body frogs for reference.

Your first mistake was shopping at canadian tire. Go shop at Sail instead, much better prices and selections. That frog's wire guard is very stiff, and I would not recommend it. Return if possible. Booyah frogs are good for the money

King Daddy Frogs from Spro !

For a regular hollow bodied frog, the Livetarget or Booyah are the two best by far. If you want a frog with kicking legs for extra noise, the snag proof wobbtletron or Stanley Top Toad are amazing. Can't wait to try to teckel sprinkler or the Booyah Toad Runner.
