Ok, so here is my next question to you guys. I've got 2 baitcasters spooled with braid. 1 Spinning Reel spooled with braid, what should I put on the 2 other Spinning reels I have? I was thinking florocarbon on one but not sure what to put on the other. Monofilament?:bad-idea-014:

What do you plan to use them for? I would suggest braid in spinning reels because of the good handling and thin diameter of braid. Fluoro and mono don't handle as well on spinning reels. Just my .02

Using these mostly for soft plastics maybe some top water.

I’m not a fan of flouro on spinning reels. Manageability issues galore.

Braid (soft plastics) or braid to a mono leader when using treble hooks would be my preference for the lures you stated.

I would definitely go with braid to leader. You can remove the leader for topwater and add a mono leader or fish straight braid, and add a fluorocarbon leader of the appropriate size for the lake for soft plastics so they will sink.

If you are trying to save money, you could put mono on one for topwater, and fluorocarbon on the other and use the one with braid for whatever. However do consider that braid does tend to last a long time and has no memory, so you'll only be saving money up front.

Mono has been on freshwater spinning reels for decades.  I think the line twist issues started only in the last 10 years:)

You may also want to check out some of the copolymer lines.

More braid IMO, but I am pretty partial to using braid to a leader for most applications and letting the rod be the shock absorber.
