important trolling motor question

Featured Replies

Ok I have a 45lb. thrust Prowler trasom mount trolling motor from Bass Pro Shops and I was wondering if there is any way that I could convert t into a bow mount. I have heard of people loosening the screws on the bottum of the top part and turning it around, Does anybody know if that can be done on my motor, any advice would help.

thanks alot

I have an older model mk its 17 lb thrust and all I did was take the screw out of the top control houseing (where it attaches to the poll) and turn it around and put the screw back in. I was also looking at the new mk's and they look to be the same way. I dont think it would hurt to try it. I am going to get me one of the new mk and I was looking to do the same thing. (save about 100 bucks).
