Looking for a deep cranking rod

Featured Replies

I am looking for a deep cranking rod for 6xds. What’s everyone’s favorite rod to throw these on? Probably going to pair with a lews bb1 pro reel

Can’t help you out with the specifics as I don’t throw 6xds much, but I really like the dobyns champion cranking rods I own and I know they have a great following on these forums.

I have a lews David fritts perfect crank rod. It's a solid deep crank rod and budget friendly have it matched with a curado with a 5.5:1 ratio. The quantum tour kvd cranking rods are awesome also. I know a couple folks who swear by them and I got to use the 7'11 mh one a couple weeks ago because my tournament partner said I didn't need to bring mine then we wound up cranking for hours.  It felt really really good

Lews TP-1 speedstick, 7’3” MH mod. Rated 1/2 thru 1 and 3/8.

I don’t throw deep cranks, but would be perfect for this.

I use for larger rattle traps, spinnerbaits, and my favorites topwaters/wakebaits.
