Mail Ordering Spinnerbait Blades

Recommended Posts

If you have a favorite spinnerbait (War Eagle Gold-Gold Shiner) and you wanted to replace the smooth gold blades with hammered ones, how would you know you were buying the exact same size? And from whom would you order them? Thanks in advance.

What I would do, is measure the blade. Height, width and blade thickness with a caliper so you're accurate. Then take a picture of the blade and put the correct dimensions on the picture that correlate with the sizes. You can then send it to Worth to see if they have something like it. You can also inquire from, Barlows, LPO, Jann's, Netcraft, Lakeland and Hagens to name a few. Just a note, you may not get an exact match or and exact color if War Eagle has them custom made for their exclusive use. Good Luck

I forget which one it is but one of the places cadman mentioned has a chart. Find out which site and just print it out to compare.

From what I remember the screaming eagle had 3.5 and 4 blades. Regular 1/2oz bait had either 3.5/4.5 or 4/4.5.

Most sellers list the dimensions of blades. Also, it's ok to upsize or downsize a blade. Here in the mid atlantic and northeast, I end up downsizing most of the time, further south, I tend to upsize. YMMV (but it won't)

Jann's has a chart you can print, I believe.

If you have a printer go to Jans Netcraft and print out a page . There are probably others out there too .

LurePartsOnline has a few charts in their catalog of hooks and blades. Have them send one to you and keep it for future reference
