I’m fairly new to bass fishing. I wouldn’t say I’m a very new fisherman, I have a few confidence baits, have caught a PB of 5 pounds, and have caught around a total of 100 largemouth. (Fishing Journal) I was fishing a spot I’ve just found only caught one fish there, tossing a jig into deeper water, so I figured today, I would do just that. Toss a jig deep. As I was doing this, a yaker came by. Just tossing a Senko and cruising through. He went by me and saw how deep I was throwing. He chuckled a bit and said “Hey watch this” He threw right under my feet. In about a foot or less of water. Pulled out around.a 2 pounder. I finished the day with a skunk. Due to my mode of transport saying it was time to go. But I definitely think I’ll be fishing some shoreline cover next trip. Tight lines folks. And these folks know what they’re talking about. Don’t wait to follow advice. Just listen to those who are older in my case, and definitely wiser.
