Nope not allowed in my lake.

I fish a couple lakes where jet skis are not allowed and they are some of my favorite places to fish.

Just my opinion but it doesn't seem like a great combo, fishing and Jet Skiing. Mixing a relatively slow sport with a fast one.

I can't imagine jumping waves with all that equipment on the back. I can see rods and tackle flying off into the depths. Looks like it will get you to your fishing spot fast though.

My uncle use to fish and even dive off his jetski over 20 years ago.He liked it but we both preferred fishing and diving off his boat.

It's another option to get out on the water and enjoy fishing in the end. It does have the ability to join the crazies doing circles around the lake also for when the fish aren't biting or one so chooses. I just view it as another vessel that can do more damage to the eco system in the hands of someone that isn't aware or doesn't really care anyways.

I'm no tree huger, anti motor driven vessel lover so I hope I didn't come across that way.

Seems like this problem has been worked out over 50 years of making bass boats that have safe storage.  I mean, the rods and rear storage are all locked in.

Thanks for the vid. I'm sold. I want one. It's on the list of things I will buy when I hit the lottery.

You too? It doesn't really look so bad in the video as long as you block out what you've seen them doing terrorizing the waters in the past. I plan on buying lakefront properties on known good fisheries in multiple states and possibly a base home with some acreage and a decent sized pond. A couple of these might come in handy depending on the location and the lake....Now if I could just get myself to play the lotto more often my chances would increase from zero to at least near zero of ever winning. I kind of only play once in a great while and buy 1 ticket with the thought that if it's meant to be it will happen that one random time I play. Not working out so great so far tho.

Bass fishing is a slow sport?

Ever been on a lake when there's a tournament going on? A lot of those glitter barge jockeys are far worse than a kid on a jet ski

I like it but needs more ultrex :)

I used to really despise jet skis but after the wake boats came along (especially on table rock) jet skis don’t bother me nearly as much.

Ah, if I could just afford one of each, a rocket bass boat, a pwc, a wake boat, and a toon boat, I could be the biggest pain in the you know what, that ever floated on water.

Well guys, I went and did it.  I became the first bass angler in the world to use a Fish Pro!  I gotta say, it was NOT what I expected.

Here's my review: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/sea-doo-fish-pro.html

"Overall this is a good platform for somebody that wants a family friendly recreational watercraft that wants to use it for fishing too, especially if you don’t have the room to store a large boat.  Starting at less than $15K (without trailer), it’s an affordable alternative to pricy fiberglass bass boats.  In addition, it’s a great tool for getting to those fishing spots you just can’t reach with big boats with prop outboards."

^^  Float tubers and bank anglers think your option is WAY too expensive! ^^

Plus, a single-person fishing kayak is not a multi-purpose family recreational watercraft.

It's all a matter of perspective and needs.

Really nothing new. They've been selling rod holders, storage, and coolers for jetski's for years. There's a salt water angler named jetskibrian who has made a career with fishing and photography out of a jetski

Nobody was implying that fishing out of a jetski was new. In fact, I even mentioned it in the article.

There's some serious jet ski fishing done out of the VA Beach area.

A number of years ago, BPS in Hampton, VA featured a sweet ski

that was outfitted for fishing. Was an amazing looking vessel.

But downside being it's, for the most part, a one-person gig, similar

to a kayak....

Lol Stick Marsh on a jet ski.  Looks fun I’d try it,  just not with alligators.

I'd rather be fishing out of this abomination rather than a yak where there are gators. But yeah.

You know sometimes, a lot of times, I envy the DDs they catch in the south, as well as year round bassin.... But then I remember that in the north I don't have to worry about gators and snakes.

Just can't say much nice about em...good for you all who like em.  Will stick with an ol fashioned boat with motors on the outside with standing room inside.

Unfortunately, the big fish proved elusive that day, but I did manage to catch a few scrappy fish.

Well it's not like you would have been the 1st guy to catch some DD's on a jetski. 😎

Wow! Great idea.

Nice looking craft.

Should pose no problems other than as penned above, the operators are not prepared to operate them safely.

DNR on Lake Minnetonka have a air-boat they use. I think it's fast enough.

The fastest airboats get around 55 mph.  Most go around 35.  The only way for one to keep up with a jet ski or moderately equipped bass boat would be on a trailer, towed on the highway. ;)

Except the speed limit on Lake Minnetonka is 40 MPH during the day, 20 MPH at night. You go faster than that and they take your Reg # and send you a 'speeding ticket' through the mail.

Sheriff's dept also patrols the lake in some high-powered speed-boats.

My point exactly, you aren't catching a speeding boat with an air boat.
