let's talk slippers

Featured Replies

Every year, about this time, I always take advantage of the black friday deals when it comes to indoor/outdoor slippers.  And every year about this time, the ones I bought the previous year are breaking down badly.  Bottoms crack/leak, and exterior stitching comes undone.  I think I am always getting a decent pair since they were regularly $$$, and I get them for $.  But I am proven wrong year after year.

Needless to say, I am done. I want one that will LAST.  I love indoor/outdoor slippers for fall/winter time.  Can anyone recommend a good quality slipper that lasts?  It's not like I'm walking the neighborhood in wind, rain, and snow. I literally will wear them outside to walk out to the garage, or out to the car (sometimes the ground is wet from rain/snow).  So I am looking for a slipper that can handle all.

What do all of you use/wear that has lasted? Care to share?

Haven't worn slippers for probably 40 years....feet sweat in all I ever had.  I wear 'slide sandals' year round; indoors and out, however.  Nike and Addidas have been best for me as far as comfort and durability.

I wear Under Armor Flip Flop Slide Sandles; it's habit to keep them near the door in all seasons. But If you want warmth, and durability, then maybe check out the Crocs...,they make a Fuzz series in kryptek pattern they are brand New.

During the winter, even in the house, my feet get cold so I wear slippers a lot. I’ve had my current pair for many years. They are a moccasin style, suede, fur lined, rubber soles from Cabela’s. They’ve changed them a bit, but this current style is close

The cold weather in-the-house footwear (OK Slippers) for the past several years for me has been Cabela's Shearling-Lined Bison Slippers.

 Very comfy ~

Oh heck yeah! These are going on my X-mas wish list.

I wear Crocs year round as my slippers. The classic for all but the coldest months, then it's the mammoth. These will replace my mammoths.
