Best tackle box (pictures)

What is your tackle box that you use? Looking at getting something that can hold a little more. I seen this at Walmart. It’s $40.

here’s what I use. I have no complaints with it, it is only $30 and I am a big fan of the backpacks when you have things like rods in your hands.

I use a Plano 9606 tackle box. It is a large tackle box with 6 trays in it. I really need to get a new one of them but I can't find any place that still carries that particular model.

Carries all your tackle and all the tackle you will ever get.

Don’t know how much help I can be as I am a minimalist when it comes to carrying tackle.

I have been using a Mossy Oak Anglers Satchel I got from DSG.

It it can fit 2 size 3600 tackle trays in the main compartment and 1 size 3500 tackle tray in the front pocket. It has a zippered pouch in the back. I carry an assortment of crankbaits, soft plastics, terminal tackle, scissors, pliers, knife, wacky rig tool, scale, grippers, first aid kit and 2 extendable rod holders in this satchel.

I also have a Plano 3500 weekender bag that fits 4 size 3500 tackle trays and has lots of MOLLE and outside mesh pockets for easy access to tools.

I have been using the Cabela's Advanced Angler tackle bag in large size (holds 3600 sized boxes) as seen here: https://www.cabelas.com/product/fishing/tackle-storage/tackle-bags/pc/104793480/c/104777280/sc/104619780/cabelas-advanced-anglers-tackle-bags-without-utility-boxes/1391169.uts?slotId=1

Was thinking of trying something larger with wheels which would be nice like the Bass Mafia tackle bag or maybe a backpack. The tackle bag strap over one shoulder is a little uncomfortable after a while.

I shove a bunch of 3700 size planos into one of those waterproof boat bags they sell at bass pro. Certainly not bank-angler friendly but when I go in my kayak or from the bank it's easy enough to throw some of them in a backpack, and I have a milk crate to hold them all in my kayak.

I am primarily a  bank fisherman with boating whenever I can find the time (rarely).

I base my system on a shoulder carry bag and many individual Plano boxes.

OK truthfully I have several carry bags and also boxes, but the point is if you keep it modular with bags and boxes you have flexibility to grab and go.  That way you just take what you need on a given outing.

After a few months of bass fishing seriously, I found there was no way I can keep all my tackle in a single box.

Prefer simple over the shoulder bags to backbacks because I like the wide top opening, and don't like to have lots of compartments because they confuse me and I can't find stuff, especially those deep ones!

I like these and the waterproof boat bags BPS sells.  Both are simple, useful and are durable.

I've been all over the map in terms of this topic. Backpacks, worm bags,

"regular" tackle boxes, utility boxes, and so forth. I currently use a Plano

Guide Series box for freshwater, something similar for salt.

That said, I am ALWAYS looking for more efficient methods. I *almost*

went with what @Catt and @J Francho like. That may be on my radar

in 2019 to try out. I really like BPS's utility boxes for senko and other

soft plastic storage....

I carry what I call an “attack bag” which holds my most productive lures in there original bags (plastics, trailers, jigs ect.) I restock this bag daily from a stock pile of several Plano hard sided boxes which are stored on shelving in the camp.

I spent a couple of seasons trying to find something I could carry in a boat, or while walking around the bank.  I ended up with the Plano 1155 Satchel box for bank fishing and a BPS Extreme Qualifier 370 for fishing out of a boat.

I use this. It holds a min of 4 utility boxes. I have 5 in it. There's a velcro pocket on the front, zippered pockets on each end, a zippered pocket in the lid flap and a net pocket on the rear. It helps you carry a lot of plastics. https://www.cabelas.com/product/fishing/tackle-storage/tackle-bags/pc/104793480/c/104777280/sc/104619780/cabelas-pro-guide-tackle-bags/1934464.uts?slotId=6

I may just use this. $10 at Walmart. Numerous size utility boxes and ziplock baggie full of soft plastics. I just need something that I can put all my stuff in. When I go fishing I never know what we may be going for.

These days its either size 3600 trays in a backpack or 3700 trays in a tackle bag. Went away from the hard case style years ago.

That is very similar to the one I use. My 9606 box is bigger. It lets me carry a lot more stuff I don't need or won't catch fish with me. Thanks for the info.

@Tyler. When I walk creeks in the summer I tote a backpack full of trays just like that.

I use to hate setting my tackle box down, walk off fishing and have to keep walking back to get it haha
