Just got my new baby (Ranger 185 Intracoastal) and want to give her a nice coat of wax, so what is recommended are they all about the same or is there a significant difference between them?  Also, how often should I wax it?

I use Meguiar's.

The one-step stuff is pretty good but if you want to give your boat an immaculate appearance, check out the Maguiar products further down the page.

I only do my boats once or twice a year.  (Too lazy or too busy. )  Waxing your hull will keep it slick and it will cut through the water better.

DO NOT WAX THE PAD AT ALL. Just wax what is visible on when it is on the trailer.

I use a good quality wax like the Meguiars suggested above once or twice a year and Bassboat saver after each use................Al
