Boat Wax

Featured Replies

Just got my new baby (Ranger 185 Intracoastal) and want to give her a nice coat of wax, so what is recommended are they all about the same or is there a significant difference between them?  Also, how often should I wax it?

Thanks in advance and tight lines to all!

I use Meguiar's.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21276-cat21324&id=0025397016572a&navCount=1&podId=0025397&parentId=cat21324&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21324&hasJS=true

The one-step stuff is pretty good but if you want to give your boat an immaculate appearance, check out the Maguiar products further down the page.

I only do my boats once or twice a year.  (Too lazy or too busy. :))  Waxing your hull will keep it slick and it will cut through the water better.
