Live Target Goby?

Recommended Posts

I am buying a package online for small river/stream smallmouth fishing.

Which size would you guys most recommend?

3 1/4” - 1/2oz.

or

3 5/8” - 3/4oz.

Thanks much!

That's a good looking Goby imitator....of the 2 weight options in a stream like system....I would pick the smaller 1/2 oz, and if they had 1/4oz I would get those also. Good luck

That's a nice looking jigging/swimbait. Good luck with it. Give us an report when you field test it. I'd also do the 1/2 oz. but would wish it came smaller also. I use something similar but they are called stone cats, they are productive.

Looks good, but probably no better than a tube.  Definitely more expensive....

I did well on Joe Balog's Goby Replica on LSC.  They're no longer made and I lost my last one to a toothy critter a couple years ago up there.....  :mad1:

I haven't tried the LiveTarget one yet, I've got some and plan on giving them a shot this year when I go up to LSC.

To the OP, I'd definitely go with the 1/2oz for small stream/river.  :thumbsup3:

Go to Case Plastics and look up Mad Toms. Mad Toms and Stone Cats are the same to me. I believe I have some still from Gitzit also. Maybe not quite so realistic as your goby but productive.
