I have a 12ft aluminum open V. A friend of mine and me constantly fish this one place around where we live. Only problem is we have to beach the boat on an island, carry the boat and all our supplies up and down a 14 ft hill to put the boat into the lake. This process is beginning to kill my back and my nerves. Ive looked at boat dollys online and they are either for kayaks and canoes or they cost over 200 dollars. Anyone know of a way to either fabricate my own or a cheaper one on the net somewhere. Thanks in advance

If you are going sandy area, you will need to get a pair of wide wheels (2" to 4" wide).  Of course, the wider the better.

The design is up to your need.  ie.  wheels under or on the side of the boat.  regular 2x4, wood sealer, and then poly it.
