Dobyns Warranty?

Featured Replies

Hey guys I was wanting to hear from some people that have used Dobyn's warranty in the past. How did it go? How quick was it?  Did you use the upgrade option?

I snapped my champion extreme dx 705c in half a few years ago.

Use it primarily for pitching jigs and heavier t/rigs.

Sent in the Cut  6” logo section they want with two checks,$ 80 for the rod and $20 for shipping. Happy with there service. The whole process took under two weeks.

And replaced with same rod dx 705c. Which is a pleasure to fish with.

If you are using their replacement/upgrade program as part of the warranty, Dobyns will ship you the replacement same day. You will be charged for the rod in full and given X amount of time to send in the old rod. Once they receive the old rod, they will credit you back the full price of the rod minus the warranty cost for the specific series.

Broke my DC 734 on hook set.  Called them to make sure that what I am seeing on the picture is exactly waht they want. so Just make sure you include the "DC XXX XX"

For the upgrading to another level, give them a call.

My advice: include memo if this will be the same model or whatever and check inside in the package. It will save time that you are not getting the "wrong one" otherwise they will send you what they see on the cutout rod.

I had an issue with a tip. I called and received a new tip in less than 48 hours at no cost. Easy fix.

I had to replace my brand new rod because of a broken tip using their no hassle warranty and it cost me $80 shipped to my door.  It took exactly one week and was painless.....

I had a Robyn’s champion where the plastic eyelid fell off and they offered to send me a replacement part or ship them the rod to repaid it ...I ended up doing a trade up program with them and got the champions extreme hp ...I would say they have a pretty good warranty program but they had great customer service
