I'm looking to get into throwing a jerkbait and I have some of the old tatulas that I really like.  I see there is a model in the elite that is listed as a jerkbait rod.  There is a model in the old tatula with the same specs.  Should it be basically the same rod but a different color (maybe a slightly different blank)?  Just seeing if I should save $20-$30 and buy the old model.  Thanks

I'm assuming they would be close with a few small differences.  I can see the TAEL691MLRB looks like it has a little shorter handle than some of my old tatulas (don't have any under 7' though to compare so I don't know if that's just the way the shorter rods are or if they elite was made that way for Seth Feider).

Sorry, late to the party. I have one of the XTs and its my favorite rod. I'm actually looking at picking up the elite so you will have to report back and let us know how it is.

Well im kind of impatient when I want to buy something unfortunately.  I mean I waited maybe 24 hours for a response.  I was actually wanting to buy a rod in the classified but the seller hasn't logged on all week so again im being impatient.

I've been curious about the xt's.  Im kinda wondering how much difference there is between the tatula models.  As someone who fishes for fun with my kids anyway.

While I was researching this week I noticed that kstephes033 had a lot of good things to say about the elites and also has a lot of experience with different models so you might look for some of his posts on the rods.

Also while researching it seems like tackle warehouse usually has a 15% off memorial day sale but again I wasnt patient so went with 10% off somewhere else.

Anyway, I'll let you know once I fish with it.
