I have been using Wave Away screen cleaner on my electronics. It is rather expensive for what you get. I am looking at some other cleaners. I was wondering if the cleaners for eye glasses would work. Are they safe for boat electronics? Does anyone know of any other options that would be okay to use? Thanks for any help with this.

I have two Solix.  The touch screens are nice but get dirty fast.  I sometimes use the eyeglass cleaning cloths to clean them at home.  A microfiber cloth is a quick, safe, easy, and effective way to clean them on the water.

Make sure you use a product that is safe for its intended purpose.  Something like windex used on an LCD screen would not be acceptable because its intended for glass, not liquid crystal.  Just read the label ahead of time.

Sonar screens are polarized glass so any cleaner with a micro cloth works to clean them.

Dryer sheets will clean and remove static that collects dust. Screen cleaners like 16 oz Screen Mom should last you the life of the sonar units and home computer.
