Norman Lures

Recommended Posts

Hey did you know ALL Norman lures are made in America?  From concept to store shelves, everything is done right in their Alabama and Arkansas locations.

Which Norman lure would YOU throw if you were fishing right now?

I'd throw the Fat Boy, which I have. It's the only one of the Norman lures that can be counted on to run true right out of the package. I've used Norman lures for over 30 years, and that's the way they've been for over 30 years.( I've heard that the Fat Boy isn't even a Norman design, but I don't know that for sure.) The rest of them are kinda like the rich uncle who's always drunk; you tolerate the bad points to get the birthday presents. As much as I've cussed them, Bill Norman's little babies have given me some really nice birthday presents. Pounds and pounds worth.   jj

DBN in gel craw finish.  It's a SMB killer, has been for probably 20 years since I discovered it.  It's a little different than the DLN, a little slimmer, and I think it catches SMB better than the DLN.

I'd take that little guy in the bottom center of that picture up to Erie and catch some big smallies!

Been using Norman lures for decades, DD14 and DD22 are my go to deep divers.

I would be throwing a Deep Baby N or the Middle N. I have one NXS but haven't caught anything with it yet. I don't even own a DD14 or a DD22. Most of the places I fish you don't need a super deep diver.

I still use the Big N and Little N for shallow cranking. For deeper cranking I'm partial to the DD 14 and DD 22.

I would probably be throwing a little N. And I love the fact that their still made in the great USA.

Picked up a couple of Fat Boys. The packaging had changed. Looked closely and saw Made in Mexico. Evidently, they (Pradco) moved the manufacturing down there last year.  :sick-298:

I'm looking into it and will post Norman's response. It is my understanding that all of their models

are designed and built here.

All Norman lures are molded in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They are decorated in Guatemala.

Little fellas were chewing on the Fat Boy pretty good a few days ago.
