what wax to use??

Featured Replies

I bought a new Champion in 2001 and while it still looks new, I can tell thats the shine is starting to fade.. What wax do you guys suggest?? I'm looking for a easy on- easy off with out a heavy amount of haze.

Thanks for your time

If you've got some fade going on already you should probably try a cleaner wax or even a mild rubbing compound that will cut the oxidation as you rub it in. Then follow with a polishing wax. 3M Imperial Glaze is the best polish wax I've ever used.

If the cleaner wax or rubbing compound doesn't cut away the oxidation you may have to go the wetsand/rubbing compound/clean wax/polish wax/sealer route which is A LOT of work but it will bring back the shine of the gel coat.
