BASS Elite Schedule 2020 Announced

Recommended Posts

So 4 of 9 stops on the 2020 Elite series are reruns of the 2019 schedule-with one stop TBA.  That is weak!  And the classic at Guntersville with the weigh-in an hour and a half drive away?  Is BASS trying to spin off another league again?

So less than half are reruns, and the ones that are will be at places where they hammered em this year. And it's fairly common for the Classic weigh ins to be a drive. I don't see any issues :)

In fact, all the elite series guys I know are pretty stoked about the schedule!

They get June 10th to July 22 off to travel and recoup, then fish the northern lakes.

Does anyone really follow the B.A.S.S. Elites anymore or can name the top 10 without looking it up? It's not the Who's Who anymore, it's the who's that?

Tom

They're undoubtedly in a weird transition right now as far as name recognition is concerned @WRB but give it some time. I think we have the next generation of stars in the making, they're still hammers even though we haven't heard of them yet, look at some of the weights from this year

I think Rick Clunn is still an elite.  Maybe it's time for Roland to come back!  He still has a shot at a classic!

Rick Clunn is still in the elite series. Roland Martin is fishing the F.L.W. tournaments.

Canterbury and the Johnston brothers are three that come to mind right away. They have had really good runs at titles this year. My summer has been busy so I missed a lot of live this year.

He is?  I know his son Scott is, but I've never heard Roland mentioned.

When they have the Classic on Grand in Oklahoma the drive to Tulsa is about an hour and a half for weigh in.

I don't follow FLW real close. I am not sure what division he is fishing but I have seen his name listed in the tournament standings on some of them.

Roland Martin has also been fishing some of the BASS Opens, I am assuming he is trying to catch lightening in a bottle, win and get another shot at the Classic.

He could fish the Elites if he wanted, he has the best resume out there for one of the 2 legends exemptions. I would guess the Elite series is too much of a grind for his old bones.
