My brother in law got me a Penn Fierce 3 for Christmas in the 2000 size. I have a fierce in the 4000 that I catfish and surf fish with. I plan on using the 2000 for brim/ crappie and also maybe using it to surf fish with when I go to the beach for smaller saltwater fish. I’m kinda stuck on what size rod I should pair it with that would be a happy medium for both purposes I intend  to use it for... If there even is a happy medium. I know one hand I won’t be using hardly any weight, and on the other, a lot more. Suggestions?

    Your happy medium is probably a medium. ? If you really want to surf fish and panfish with it, get a 7'6".
