Easier to sell

Considering I haven't bought it yet, that's not a concern.

Performance-wise does anyone have experience with both?

The 2014 scorpion is just the JDM version of the Curado I that was replaced by the Curado K. I would get the Curado K as it is a newer platform and much smoother under load than the old Curado I.

I was under there impression there were differences that made the JDM version cast better and be smoother?

Some say that the scorpion was smoother and had better spool bearings than the Curado I but the one I handled I could not tell the difference. The casting was also very similar between the two. The only real difference between the Curado I and Scorpion was the Scorpion had 2 more bearings put into the handles.
