Looking for new fish finder , help please

Featured Replies

So my current fish finder is the basic one that came with the boat a lowrance hook 5.. I’m looking to upgrade to a better fish finder and can’t decide between a humminbird helix 7 with mega down and side imaging with chirp or a garmin echomap uhd 73sv .. what does everyone suggest and why?

I'm a Garmin fanboy. Being able to make your own maps is so awesome. In my local tournaments, it's all the Garmin guys racing to certain spots on the lake because we're the only ones that have the structure mapped. That being said, Humminbird is going to have better connectivity with other accessories.

So really, what features are most important to you?

BPS has the Lowrance Elite 9Ti on sale for $599.00 that's about a $400.00 off the regular price. I picked one up yesterday at Daytona BPS. Signed up for their credit card got another 15% off and a $50.00 gift card.

I saw this too and was going to buy it but got scared when I saw a ton of bad reviews for this model. Do you like it? Does it work well?
